Make a final decision(s) based upon your needs – avoid features that you will not use!
Request a list of ordered products from your retailer including brand, model number, costs, tax, shipping, etc.
Obtain printed specification sheets with installation details on each item and copy Design Vision, LLC.
Establish a delivery date and storage location at the remodel site before any construction begins.
Delivery and installation of product:
Do not start any construction before all products are on-site.
Be present when the product is delivered to check for damage and correct model numbers…
Carefully check the condition of the shipping box by looking for:
Crushed corners
Holes punched inbox
Missing boxing bands (around the perimeter of the box)
Open flaps that are no longer glued down
Large boxes should be delivered on pallets
Do not accept the product if the box is damaged unless the box is opened and the product is checked thoroughly.
Ask delivery person to open boxes on manufacturer “cut lines” so the box is in tack if the product needs to be returned
DO NOT ACCEPT DAMAGED PRODUCTS.
Otherwise do not accept the product if the box is damaged.
Save boxes until all products are installed and working as retailers will not accept returns without boxes.
Remove installation instructions and make a copy to post on the site for all trades involved in the installation,
Warranty:
Warranty information is detailed in the Product Use and Care.
Most factory warranties begin on the installation date.
Proof of installation date must be in writing on Installer’s letterhead or invoice with date, payment, etc.
Confirm this installation start date warranty policy with your retailer.
