PROGRAM AND DESIGN: European Clients wanted a traditional-style Parisian Kitchen. I suggested relocating the kitchen and installing NANAWALL-type doors to enjoy a magnificent view of the SF Bay. They also requested that her office be in the kitchen. I replaced the existing bay window with a slider window. The project also involved a new fireplace, a kids’ play area, and a TV room. A Parisian-style kitchen has classic design elements with modern touches. It’s a mix of old-world style and current touches. I picked out chic cafe-style chairs to complement the kitchen island.
Another hallmark of a Parisian kitchen is a hanging set of classic silver or copper saucepans.
